the honey has a strong smell for the insects to get close to it,
we cant smell it but that can,(the insects)
No insect or any other animal dare to come close to bees colony. They know what will happen. The only animals who can run the risk is the human being.
bees can also dismember other insects using their arms and foreparts.they are strong. that is how they kill rival bees who get into the wrong hive or if they need to kill a queen. several bees pull the other one apart.
Insects - they will sting the small insects , but for the Hornet ,it is bad , they would always like to steal their honey, the honey bee will definitely lose.. however , if there is only 1 hornet entered, the honey bee will swarm , their temperature rise and can even kill small amount of Hornet, that is the way they protect their honey from Hornet
the hive is hung up there for a reason...
Er. stings? Remember those? Bees can sting other insects and not die afterwards.
have you ever get stung by a bee? i think that the thing that keeps those insect away from the hive.
